FOR: High School & College Teachers
WHEN: Saturday, February 8, 2025, 9am-4pm
WHERE: The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History
Participants must have completed and participated in our Rocky Intertidal Monitoring program within the last two years.
Workshop attendees will:
• Receive a 5-unit curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core
• Get hands-on training on rocky intertidal data collection and analysis
• Gain valuable information on the logistics of field science
• Develop experience in using scientific tools and protocols
Students who participate in LiMPETS will:
• Conduct community science and collect data that contributes to a 20+ year database used by scientists for research & policy
• Learn about indicator species, coastal habitats, and human impact
• Connect to and learn about protecting local ecosystems and communities
Note the $30 registration fee will be fully refunded after participation.
