Welcome to Naturalists on Wheels, an active natural history tour of the beautiful Monterey Bay... by bike!
We will start at Lovers Point and end at the Fort Ord Dunes State Park (11 miles). Along the way we will make 4 stops and learn about marine life, geologic history, waves and weather, and the dune ecosystem of Monterey Bay from natural history experts.
You can find the route and itinerary linked here.
At our last stop, we will have lunch catered. After that, we will head back to Lovers Point at our own pace. Experienced trip leaders will support participants on this 22 mile (round trip) ride.
Riders are expected to have a bicycle or ebike in good working order and be fit to ride 22 miles in 4 hours with some hills. This event is intended for adults. Helmets are required for all participants.
